Hobie Alter Cup.  Melbourne, April 24 - 28   Hobie Alter Cup.   Three exceptional days of wind, the nation's best beach cat sailors and the Blade, from Vectorworks, a local boat builder.  And a lot of the most thrilling sailing in a while.

Hagar the Horrible 2007.  Kelly Park, Merritt Island.   Hagar the Horrible included both Hagar's Run, a distance race, on Saturday, and a fun regatta on Sunday.  This year, as much as fun as any other, included many allusions to the year's most notable happenings, including diaper clad distance travel, and biting the face off balloons . . .
Area D Qualifiers, Gulfport Florida, Nov 4-5.   Area D Qualifiers.  No shortage of bow sizzle during both days of this exciting race on the Gulf Coast.  (For those who wonder about the name, this is a regional qualifying race for the Alter Cup, to be held in Melbourne in April, 2007)
Hirams's Haul  Pineda to Sebastian, Oct 28 - 29.   Hiram's Haul sailed under the gusty strong winds of this fall's second cold front.  No new record times, but with most of the catamarans finishing in less than 3 hr, there was plenty of time for the party in Hirams upper room.
Wildcat Regatta Lake Eustis Sailing Center, Sep 23 - 24   Wildcat Regatta came off without a hitch this year, except for lack of wind on Sunday. But Saturday's conditions and the barbecue dinner that followed were worth the effort to travel to Eustis.
St. Augustine Summer Sizzler.  Rudder Club, Jacksonville, Sept 2&3   St. Augustine Summer Sizzler.   The Summer Sizzler was the same fun regatta even with the change in venue to the Rudder Club and the St. Johns River south of Jacksonville. It was breezy and no rain.  What a great way to celebrate the Labor Day weekend.
Daytona Summer Sizzler.  Daytona Beach  June 24-25   Daytona Summer Sizzler.  The best ocean racing conditions at Daytona Beach in years:  Good wind all day both days and no rain.
Jetty Park Ocean Regatta. Port Canaveral, June 3-4    Jetty Park Ocean Regatta is the first of the multiple ocean regattas along Florida's east coast.  With 21 catamarans on the water, it was a bit smaller than in years past.  The weather was almost perfect, however, one of the few benefits of this spring's drought.

Gill Catamaran Sunglasses Float for only  $69   Tradewinds  Jan  14 & 15.  Key Largo     Tradewinds  Too much wind on Saturday led to race cancellations for this day.  Great conditions for 3 races on Sunday made the trip worth it to most of the team.
