Three other 1design fleet raced in the Wildcat. A
Class cats consisted of 3 entrants. The final rankings are: Mike Binford,
Doren Oster and Jeff Shapiro in 1st through 3rd, respectively. Mike Binford
consistently finishing 1st except for a second place throw out in the third
race. That gave Doran Oster a chance for a 1st place standing, and Jeff also
had a chance for a 2nd place finish in the last race.
In the F 16 fleet, Terry Beck dominated with string of 1st places, minus a
4th (DNF) that was his throw out. Robi took the first in Beck’s throw out
and had 2nd place finishes thereafter. Pete Pollard, a relative new comer
from the Ft. Meyers area came in 3rd with a combination of 2nd and 3rd place
scores. The finishes in this and the A class cats were close.
